Amy drove us to Logan Airport. Our flight was to leave at 5:30 AM. There was a bit of turbulence, but once we got to cruising altitude, it was fine. We had a two hour layover in Dallas Fort Worth airport. Stopped at a Starbucks for a snack. There was a DD also, and a kid was on his phone. Gwyn had to remind him to get his drink that he had paid for. Landed at Burbank airport. It was small. We walked off the plane across the tarmac to get into the airport. There was a big sign saying to keep quiet. How do you keep plane engines quiet?
The baggage carousel was outside, which was a first. Once we had our bags, we walked a bit to the rental car counters. The rental was a Nissan Kicks, a small SUV. Loaded up our bags, and off we go!
Our first stop was at a SweetGreen since we were both hungry, and it was approaching 2:00 PM. Valet parking, since parking on the street was limited. Always yummy at SweetGreen! We then headed to the Best Western Plus Executive Inn
, about an hour east. It is located in Rowland Heights, a large Asian district of LA. We had a room on the third floor, and the highway was right next door. Ear plugs were provided.
A Target run was next, as we wanted something simple to eat, and I needed finger nail clippers. We bought supper and a case of water, and headed back. There was a small refrigerator and microwave at the hotel. Mrs. Brown’s Boys and supper was a hit! We made it to about 7:00 PST, and went to bed.
